Capturing Nature
Protecting Its Future
British Columbia Bound
Growing up in BC, I was blind to just how beautiful my backyard was. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I looked and just thought, “Oh,” and the rest is history.

“Michael was incredible to work with!! I’ve used him a few times now for special photos and each time he’s taken initiative and done good research on where and when we should be taking photos to get the best shots and has gotten the photos back to me quickly!! I will use him again for any special moments I want captured on film!”

Shuswap Strong
Two-time Award-winning Photo
Captured in the aftermath of one of British Columbia’s fastest-spreading wildfires, this aerial photograph tells a story of loss, resilience, and community strength. Shot from above in the soft morning light, the dark silhouettes are the shadows of the burnt-up trees that remain standing.
This image honours the heroes of Shuswap who fought to save their neighbours’ homes and became the heartbeat of the #ShuswapStrong movement.
Winner of two photography awards, this print is a tribute to nature’s fragility and the power of human unity.
The “Why”
As my love for nature continues to grow, so do my concerns about my efforts to protect this planet. I want to make an impact by bringing awareness to humanity. We are shepherds of this planet, and we are meant to love and cherish it.
Through my photos, I want to help solve our biggest issue: Climate Change. It affects us all. What’s so hard about it is its lack of immediate repercussion from our influence. We must act now before it’s too late.
If you haven’t learned about the topic of climate change, I recommend “Human Nature” by Kate Marvel.
